I don’t know about you, but I see people everyday that aren’t making any progress at this thing called life. What’s crazy is that most people don’t even WANT to make progress! I personally do not understand the now, but I was actually int he same boat up until about 3 years ago. And then I was given a reason to be better….I was getting married and would be starting a family.
I think this is typically how this happens – you aren’t going to do something until you have a reason to do it. Like when someone knows they’ve been unhealthy for years and years, but don’t care to make a change until they get a disease or have a heart attack. By then it’s too late. However, it is easy to get motivated at this point because it’s now life or death.
But what if you never come to a point like that where it’s life or death? What if you aren’t in need of making a change in order to survive? What if you’re already comfortable where you’re at? This is actually the most dangerous place to be. This is commonly referred to as the middle class.
Sadly, when most people make it to this level they stop trying to be better because they feel like the hard work is over. This is where they start to coast through life, get into a nice routine that makes them happy enough, and allows them to take one or two vacations a year. It doesn’t sound so bad if you haven’t made it to this level yet, but it sounds awful if you are fully aware of what’s possible for you!
The truth is only some people are cut from a certain cloth and are destined for greatness. Ummmm JUST KIDDING! Everyone has the ability to create the next Amazon, or be the next great athlete, or master a particular skill, or become the greatest something or other on the planet! The problem is that society is built on a game system, and only a few have taken the time to learn the rules of the game. But the bigger problem is that most people are so uninformed that they don’t even know that they are in the game!
Having said that, I’m here to tell you that there’s hope for us all! All you need to do is seek the knowledge of the game from the people who have mastered it. Much like Santa Clause and Peanut M&M’s, these people do exist! And the better news is that with social media and books (both physical & audio) you can get this information for free or close to free. And trust me, this information is worth paying for…as long as you’re getting it from the right people. Lucky for you, I’m going to be sharing the names of the people that have helped me the most, so that will give everyone a quick start on the path of increased success!
So let’s get down to it. Here’s how you get better at life:
- Wake up before the sun (5am suggested)
- Write your goals down everyday
- Workout/exercise everyday
- Drink lots of water
- Read for 20-30 minutes a day
- Listen to an audio book while you workout, drive, clean, etc.
- Dedicate at least 2 hours a day to family time
- Work more than 8 hours a day (this includes your dreams + day job)
- Eat healthy foods
- Don’t forget to have a cheat meal every once and again!
- Only follow positive, successful people on social media
- Invest heavily in your personal improvement
- Hang out with people with the same big goals as you
- Get your family not he same page as you
- Go to bed before 11pm
- Commit to success
- Be disciplined
- Be consistent
- Be Persistent
- Never give up on your dreams
There are plenty more bullet points that I could add, but after implementing this knowledge into my own life I feel like a completely different person. I’ve seen a tremendous amount of success after 3 years, and am now on a path to creating a dream life for my family. I’ve started using the habits that the most successful people use in their lives, because success leaves clues. It seems simple; do what successful people do, get success yourself.
If you don’t know where to start, I want to give you some names of people that you can start following today! I’m not going to list all of their material here, but you can easily find these people on YouTube and other social media.
