3 Things You Should Do Every Morning (but don’t want to)

Do you wake up, hit snooze, wake up again, brush your teeth, shower, review your morning memes on social media, and then go to work? If this is you, then should keep reading…

This was me until late 2018 too, and I didn’t see anything wrong with that. Why would I? I had a solid routine and didn’t smell when I went out in public (because of the shower).

What changed in late 2018? I’ll tell ya…I started studying successful people, and not one of them had a lazy morning routine (like I had). It was a “wake up call.”

So in an effort to find a morning routine that would help me set up a successful day, here’s what has helped me have great days every day…

1) I write my long-term goals down, and also my daily targets for the day.

2) I read 30-50 pages of a non-fiction book, sometimes more on the weekends.

3) I workout in my garage gym for 45-60 minutes. I also listen to an audiobook while working out. 2 birds, one shotgun. (stones are so yesteryear)

In total, this entire routine usually takes me about 2 hours. How do I find the time? I wake up between 4:30-5am so I can get this done before work.

Now let me say, I was definitely not a morning person before I starting this routine, and I more evolved into it than just started it all at one time. In fact, I think I’m still a night wolf.

But I never skip a day in this routine because I know that this helps me have great days more consistently than before. And unlike your typical serial killer, I prefer to set myself up for positivity so I can deal with what the day has to offer, both good and not as good.

Do you have a morning routine? Does it involve my activities, or something else? Also, what is your wake-up alarm song?

“The world is watching, you might as well give them something to remember.”
