First of all, what is prospecting?
Prospecting is getting out of obscurity.
That means that people need to know who you are and what you do in order for them to buy from you! This can (and should) be done a number of different ways…
- Social Media
- Email Marketing
- Cold Calling
- Events & Conferences
- Talking to people
No one way is the Holy Grail method of prospecting, but a combination of all of the above methods should be used. I know it sounds like it should be easier, but it’s not (you can cry on your pillow now if you want).
Here’s the good news…prospecting isn’t that difficult! It’s actually rather simple, you just need to find people that are interested in your product or service.
You could actually just ask people “I help people become master communicators in every life situation. Would you be interested in become a master communicator?”
Now here’s the downside, prospecting requires MASSIVE amounts of actions. It’s not actually a downside, but let’s face it, people are lazy (myself included at times) and just want to relax and shut off their brain. Unfortunately you’ll need to use your brain energy a lot before you relax…
So how is this done?
- Identify your ideal customer – Where do they hang out, how old are they, what industry/profession are they in?
- Fire all of your ammo – Use every method you can to get in touch with them to find out if they have a problem that you can solve.
- Use your creativity – You may have to try things that seem unprofessional (send a chocolate foot) or out of the norm (calling at 8pm.
- Commit – In order to make this work, you have to commit to making this work!
If you can get into a routine that involves these methods and massive actions, you can’t be stopped! Literally, this will work for every person and business.
Like Grant Cardone says “Money follows attention.” If you can get enough attention, give enough value, and gain enough trust from your buyers, you WILL succeed!
And if you want to guarantee success, get yourself or your company on Cardone University. I can get you more information if you fill out the form (name & email) on my homepage.
Make it so, #2…
